This class is a refresher session for the design portion in the Exhibiting and Judging Handbook prepared by the Minnesota State Horticultural Society. It will count towards renewal units for Judging and help better prepare you with floral design techniques.

In the floral design part of the class, we will learn the care and handling of floral materials (mainly those cut from the garden), the mechanics, and the principles and elements of design to create a floral piece. We will be using one of the Minnesota State Fair Flower Show themes from 2018: Northern Gardener, and will make a vertical line-mass arrangement incorporating seasonal flowers, foliage, and fruits and vegetables from our northern gardens. The product list will be sent to you once registered.
