Heirloom seeds are much more than just delicious fruits and vegetables waiting for their opportunity to fill our gardens! They are, in fact, windows through which we can view the history, cultures, and stories of the many generations of growers that have tended these precious seeds before us. Within every seed is a song and a story… seeds are like time travelers, connecting us to our past while simultaneously carrying us into the future. Join us for this fun and informative presentation with author and seed saver Ben Cohen as he shares with us why the stories of our heirloom seeds are just as significant as the seeds themselves. Hear exciting tales of heritage fruits and vegetables that have traveled the world, influencing the countries and cultures they encountered along the way!

Instructor: Ben Cohen, Michigan Seed Library founder and Author of Saving our Seeds: The Practice & Philosophy and From our Seeds and Their Keepers: A Collection of Stories
